Resources for Students

Society of Physics Students

The USF chapter of the Society of Physics Students is very active. They organize activities such as picnics, field trips, career presentations, and tutorials. Our chapter here at USF is affiliated with the National SPS and was designated as an Outstanding SPS Chapter several times. The USF SPS has also been awarded Best in Show at the annual Engineering Expo many times. Contact Dr. Kevin Mackay to learn how to get involved.

Andrew Grogan is the academic advisor for our department and can answer a wide variety of questions beyond just course registration. Please see the Advising tab on the left for more information.

Advice for Students

Here our Director of Undergraduate Programs, Dr. Randy Criss, has provided advice for students on how to do well in General Physics for students in his sections, although most of it will be appreciated by students at all levels.
