Education

Ph.D. Astronomy, 2015, University of Maryland, College Park, MD

Teaching

  • Equity and Inclusion within Physics and Astronomy
  • Physics and Astronomy Education

In my teaching and other activities, I aim to improve the equity and inclusion within physics and astronomy by addressing the structural and cultural marginalization of underrepresented minorities within these disciplines. We can and should do better!

Research

  • Galaxy Evolution
  • Interstellar Medium

I have studied the dust and molecular material blown out of nearby galaxies either by star formation or by the disruptive activity of a supermassive black hole. Together with collaborators, I have used space-based and ground-based infrared observations to study these 'galactic winds'.
